Welcome to Shore Health System's Palliative Care Suite

Memorial Hospital offers palliative care through a wide range of services. A specially trained nursing staff develops personalized plans for pain and symptom management while also addressing the emotional, spiritual and financial concerns of people facing the end of life. The staff is prepared to respond to special requests for massages, music, pets and other homey comforts. The addition of the Palliative Care Suite gives patients and their families privacy and comfort as they make decisions and spend long hours together in the hospital.

The Palliative Care Suite consists of a patient room outfitted with comfortable seating for guests, handmade comforters, soothing artwork and equipment required for patient medical needs. An adjacent family lounge is equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, TV, and a sofa with built-in recliners. This room is decorated with a handmade wall hanging courtesy of Warm-up America, a group that has donated quilts and afghans for Memorial Hospital patients.
