Meet Our Board of Directors

Joseph M. Anthony, Treasurer, a Certified Public Accountant. He received a BA in Economics from Western Maryland College. Mr. Anthony serves as a Board Member of Dixon House, the United Fund, and the Mid-Shore Community Foundation Advisory Board. Mr. Anthony is a member of the Easton Rotary Club and Talbot Country Club.

John W. Dillon, Chair, is retired a retired Vice President of Verizon Corporation. He completed his undergraduate work at Bonaventure University and attended Darden School at the University of Virginia. He is the President of Historic Oxford Limited, and a member of University of Maryland's Environmental Services, Leadership Maryland and Mid-Atlantic Medical Services, Inc. He also is a part of the Tred Avon and Chesapeake Bay Yacht Clubs and the Talbot County Country Club.

Charles L. Lea Jr., Vice Chair, is a retired Venture Capitalist with degrees from Kenyon College and Cornell University. He is a member of the Talbot County Country Club, Chesapeake Bay Yacht Club and Chairman of the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum.

Richard A. Loeffler, Vice Chair, is a retired Mechanical Engineer and is now working as a Consultant. He earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Newark College of Engineering. He is the Chairman of Trustees at Elks Lodge 1272, Chair of the Subcommittee of Maryland Main Street-City of Cambridge, Vice President of Delmarva Community Service-Sailwinds and a member of Cambridge Yacht Club, Dorchester County YMCA, and Friends of Dorchester Public Library.

Stuart M. Bounds, PhD, Secretary, is the President of Chesapeake College in Wye Mills, MD. He received a BA and MA from University of Maryland and an Ed.D. from The College of William and Mary. He is a member of Maryland Council of Community Colleges Chief Executive Officers, Rotary Club of Easton, Teacher Education Initiatives of Maryland, and the Talbot County Business Roundtable. He serves on the Boards of the Maryland Association of Community Colleges, Academy of Arts Museum, Upper Shore Manufacturing and Business Council, and Talbot County Economic Development Council.

Robert Carmean is the Vice President of an agricultural business. He received a BS in Agricultural Sciences-Animal and Poultry Science from the University of Delaware. Mr. Carmean is a member of the Grain & Elevator Processing Society and currently serves on the Caroline County Airport Site Selection Committee and the Chesapeake College Foundation Board of Directors.

Ludwig Eglseder III, MD, Dr. Eglseder is a specialist in Internal Medicine. He graduated from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, MD.
Marlene Feldman is an educator who has served on the Board of Directors with the Mid Shore Community Foundation, MD Assoc. of Boards of Education, Dorchester County Public Library and the Historical Society of Dorchester County, among others. She received her undergraduate degree in Education from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Mrs. Margaret Ferree serves as a volunteer and philanthropist. Mrs. Ferree has been active in the Talbot County Historical Society, Easton Day Care Center, the Talbot Garden Club, Talbot County Country Club, Talbot Hospice Foundation, and Mid-Shore Community Foundation. She is also a member of Memorial Hospital Foundation and Auxiliary, Shore Health System's Nursing 2000 Endowment Fund, supporter of Talbot County YMCA, CASA, and the Margaret Ferree and Benedictine Scholarships. Mrs. Ferree is the recipient of Memorial Hospital's Foundation Humanitarian Award and Member of Memorial Hospital's Sower Society, as well as Maryland's Most Beautiful Volunteer Award-Talbot County.
Michael D. Joyce, M.D. is Chief of Emergency Medicine at Dorchester General, Chairman of Shore Health System Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical Terrorism Committee, and is an Assistant Professor for the Division of Surgery, Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Maryland. Dr. Joyce graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BS in Biology from Florida State International University and a medical degree from St. Georges's University School of Medicine. He is a member of American College of Emergency Physicians and the American Association of Physician Specialists.

David Milligan is an information technology professional. He attended the University of Pennsylvania Moore School of Engineering and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Salisbury University's Perdue School of Business with a B.S. in Information Systems Management. He is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society and Vice President of Dorchester County Public Library Board of Trustees.

Michael O. Moran, M.D. is a Gastroenterologist at Dorchester General Hospital. He earned his undergraduate from Fairleigh Dickenson University and a medical degree from the University of Turin. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Gastroenterology, American College of Physicians, and the Maryland State Medical Society (MedChi).

Neil Mufson is a private school headmaster. He received his undergraduate degree from Brown University in Comparative Literature and his M.E.d in Counseling and Education from Tufts University. Mr. Mufson serves on the Board of Directors for BAAM (Building of African American Minds), and the Association of Independent Maryland Schools.
James K. Peterson is an Investor. He received a BS from Michigan State University. Mr. Peterson is the Vice Chairman of the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum and serves as Director and Mentor of Talbot Mentors, Director of Graphic Packaging Corporation, Baywoods LLC, and Sorithes Corporation. He is also a member of the Chesapeake Bay Yacht Club, Tred Avon Yacht Club, and Talbot County Country Club.

Joseph P. Ross is the President and CEO of Shore Health System, Inc. He earned a BA in Political Science from West Virginia University and a MHA from Xavier University. Mr. Ross is a member of the CEO Roundtable, American College of Health Care Executives, Leadership Maryland, and serves on the Maryland Hospital Association Executive and Public Policy Committees, board of Voluntary Hospitals of America-Central Atlantic and as Vice Chairman of Maryland Hospital Education Institute. He is also a member of the Chesapeake Bay Yacht Club and Talbot Country Club.

Chris Spurry, is a manufacturer's representative from Easton. He attended Loyola College in Baltimore and St. Joseph's College in Philadelphia, PA. He serves as the Director of Talbot Bancshares and Shore Bancshares in Easton, MD and the Director of the United Fund of Talbot County. Mr. Spurry is a member of the Chesapeake Bay Yacht Club and the Miles River Yacht Club.
